I know things have been a little quiet on the HPA front, and I apologize for that. I would like to reassure you all that things are being worked on and we have some exciting things coming up for you all in the near future. To give you a little taste of what's going on right now I thought I'd summerize a few things for you:

Updated Points System: We will be sticking to our point and class system concept of A/B/C and will slowly be adjusting ways to earn HPA points and figuring out the correct point amounts to be earned for an action. We do ask that you please be patient with this process as it may take some time to figure out what is the fair amount of points to be given for a completing a task with out making things too easy and unchallenging.

Why Ponies? Article: I recently did a small journal on my regular account featuring the talents of the Haflinger pony and what they were capable of, an the reaction I got from poeple inspired me to expand my scope and talk about ponies in general in a way to show others that ponies are good for something besides carting around children. The article will feature bio of famous ponies including Theodore O'Connor and Stroller, a physiological/anatomical study of ponies, how ponies differ from horses, and jaw-dropping videos and photos of ponies in action.

Create - A - Pony Drive & Show: A fun show with lots of great events that aim to show off the talents of ponies and particular breeds. There will be lots of great artand point auctions up to provide ponies to those who currently don't have one, as well as a string of group ponies of varying breeds for you to lease for the event. During this show we will be asking you to talk to your friends who don't normally show their ponies or have them to think about leasing or designing a pony for the show. We want to expand our group numbers and try and make ponies just as popular as horses in the HARPG world.

... and most importantly

HPA Super Group Fundraiser and Raffle: During the process of trying to reorganize and make this group as user friendly as possible I've come to realize there are quite a few features that we could use that are currently not available to us. So I would like to try and raise 4,796 :points: in order to upgrade us to a super group for 12-months. If everyone involved in the group pitches in a little it shouldn't be too hard to reach this goal. I am personally extending an invitation to you all to come up with create was to influence people to donate ANY amount of points they wish to the group. Personally I will be doing point commissions and point auctions of different ponies breeds as I work my way through the pony breeds, creating breed sheets for each one.

Again, I'd like to stress to you how much I love all of your inputs and thoughts on the things we do here. If you do comments on one of our blogs, but haven't gotten a response in a while try noting the group, or me personally. I'm here to answer any questions you have about ponies, whether you're trying to find a breed suited for a certain discipline or climate or anything at all. So please don't hestiate to ask.

About the HPA

HPA stands for Horseart-RPG Pony Association. This group was inspired by the other Breed Associations on the HARPG, because I noticed that there wasn't a registry for all of the ponies out there! Thus, our goal is provide a community and a registry for the realistic pony breeds of the HARPG.

This Breed Association will accept purebred horses of any real or realistic pony breed in realistic colors, or crosses of such breeds. We will also be registering what we define as "Sport Ponies" - pony breeds crossed with horse breeds to gain height or some other trait; however, we will only register these if they mature at a height at or below 15.3 hh, regardless of its pony breed heritage. Miniature horses will not be registered.

Ponies registered in the Association will be able to earn points that qualify them for special awards as well as higher quality status. All registered ponies are considered "registered". Unproven ponies, who have merely been registered, are considered to be Class C. Accumulation of Association points (through drawings, competitions/shows, Registered adult ponies can earn "B" and then "A" class through point accumulation. Foals of registered adults who have gained "A" or "B" class may be admitted at a class higher than "C".

The most important part of the HPA is to enjoy your (virtual) ponies! Have Fun!

Hmm. I have a question. I know the mustang isn't a 'traditional pony breed' but they can reach heights down to 12hh.
so... i was wondering if it was okay to register my 12hh musty with you guys:)

No, sorry. We only accept breeds that are actual pony breeds - mustangs are a horse-type breed.
